What does Code Blue do?

We develop and implement innovative evidence-based social skills programs that will support young adults with autism and provide opportunities for access, participation and genuine inclusion in mainstream community events, ultimately empowering young adults on the spectrum to self-direct their social choices.

Do you have social skills programs for children or teenagers on the spectrum?

Unfortunately, no. Our social skills programs are designed for young adults with a minimum age of 18 years.

Do you have social skills programs for older adults on the spectrum?

Our program are designed for young adults aged 18 years to 25-ish
The enrolment of adults older than 25 years are pending the outcome of an enrolment meeting.

I have an NDIS plan. What type of funding can I use for Chill?

Chill programs are registered under the following NDIS support categories:

  • CORE
    (1) Assistance with Daily Life (includes SIL)

    (4) Assistance with Social & Community Participation
  • CAPACITY BUILDING
    (9) Increased Social and Community Participation

    (11) Improved Relationships
    (15) Improved Daily Living

Can I enrol in Chill if I do not have an NDIS plan?

We process enrolments from participants who do not have NDIS plans, however as there is no NDIS funding to access, the program fees will be an out of pocket cost.

Do I have to be vaccinated to attend Chill?

Vaccination (double dose) against COVID-19 is a pre-requisite for enrolment in face-to-face programs in Brisbane and Melbourne. Applicants will be asked to show proof of vaccination against COVID-19 prior to or at their enrolment meeting.

Can I bring my support worker into my program?

No – The Chill programs use a peer mentor support model which does not allow for support workers to be present during the sessions. As all of our participants are working towards social independence, we cannot allow any support workers into our sessions.

Can I start a program at any time?

No – All participants must commence their program at the start of the term.

How long is a program term?

A program term is 10 weeks long with one session each week.

Where is Chill located?

There are two Chill studios – one in Brisbane, one in Melbourne.
In Brisbane, there are two off-site programs – Chill Sport and Chill Woodwork

Can I just sign up for social outings and skip the social skills programs?

A participant must be enrolled in a Chill program to be able to access the Chill Out events (social outings).
